Wejo Lightbox Films

Explainer films communicating the value and impact of connected vehicle data to C-suite audiences.

A series of B2B explainer films created for Wejo, designed to communicate the value, security and social impact of its connected vehicle data services to senior decision-makers. The films were aimed at a C-suite audience and focused on clearly articulating how Wejo’s data helps organisations better understand vehicle behaviour and what’s happening inside vehicles in real time.

The content explored how connected vehicle data can be used to improve traffic management and flow, make cities easier to navigate, enhance parking and transport infrastructure, support accident detection and response, and enable more relevant and responsible marketing to drivers—all while maintaining a robust data security and “data for good” strategy.

The creative approach used a distinctive lightbox technique, with real-time illustrations drawn on illuminated glass by artist Carl Napper. These drawings visually explained complex concepts, which were then intercut with interviews from Wejo team members to add clarity, authority and human insight to the narratives.

I scripted and art directed all films in the series, overseeing a total of eleven pieces covering a wide range of topics. The content was subsequently edited into multiple formats for use across social channels, supporting engagement with US transport authorities, enterprise clients and retail investors.

The result was an innovative and accessible explainer film series that translated complex data-driven technology into clear, compelling stories for both commercial and public-sector audiences.
